Therapy for mothers in california

Perinatal Therapy

You’ve tried everything you can think of to feel better, but nothing’s sticking.

I am dedicated to supporting women through the many complex and deeply personal experiences that can arise across the reproductive and motherhood journey, including infertility, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the ongoing challenges of motherhood. These seasons of life can bring profound change emotionally, physically, and relationally. Many women find themselves feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of who they are becoming in the process.

As a mother of two, I personally understand how transformative the transition into motherhood can be. It reshapes nearly every aspect of life, including identity, relationships, priorities, and expectations of self. For many new mothers, the process of identifying and expressing their needs can feel confusing or even impossible, especially when so much attention is focused on caring for others. In therapy, I help mothers gently reconnect with themselves, explore their evolving identity, and create space for their own wants, needs, and emotional well-being, without guilt or judgment.

In addition to supporting motherhood and postpartum experiences, I have a specialized focus in working with women who are navigating infertility and fertility treatments, including IVF. This journey often carries layers of grief, hope, disappointment, anxiety, and isolation, sometimes all at once. Drawing from both professional experience and my own personal journey, I deeply understand how consuming and emotionally taxing fertility treatments can be. Many women feel pressure to remain hopeful while silently carrying fear, loss, and uncertainty. My aim is to offer a space where all of these emotions are welcome and acknowledged.

I work alongside you to help process each stage of the fertility journey at a pace that feels supportive and grounded. Together, we develop coping tools to manage the anxiety, worry, and emotional fluctuations that often arise throughout treatment. I also support women who have previously undergone fertility treatments and are carrying unprocessed memories, grief, or emotional residue from those experiences. Therapy can be a place to gently revisit and integrate what was never fully tended to, allowing for greater emotional relief and healing.

Above all, my approach is compassionate, collaborative, and attuned to your unique experience. Whether you are hoping to conceive, in the midst of treatment, adjusting to new motherhood, or carrying the weight of past experiences, you do not have to navigate this alone. I am here to walk alongside you, offering understanding, validation, and support, so you can feel more grounded, less alone, and more connected to yourself during this deeply meaningful journey.
